Education and experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering and/or related trade.
• Formal Metrology Course
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a measuring room environment
• Must be skilled in GD&T
• Proficient in using latest CMM software & PolyWorks®
• Above average in Microsoft Excel Advanced level
• Superior problem-solving skills
• SPC subject matter expert

Key responsibilities

Provide metrology-based technical assistance to manufacturing areas through inspection and testing, using model-based inspection programs, blueprints, engineering standards, specifications, and manufacturing plans• Perform the measurements for purchased parts for incoming inspection according to control plan (including conformity checks of material certificates as well as Programs
• Perform the measurements for Finished Good parts according to control plan as well as Programs, Initial samples,
• Support production in implementation and use of SPC in production according to the control plan
• Support Program Quality, ASQ and SQA with metrology competence, especially in the “Kick off Meeting with suppliers”
• Support with metrology competence in special projects
• Participation in Design review regarding metrology
• Participation in design of new gage concepts
